Who we are
Vestland Classic offers maritime voyages with a difference — classic tours full of nostalgia and far away from mainstream cruising.
As a company, we want to set us apart from the big cruise lines. Instead of taking thousands of passengers aboard, like on a floating city, we would like to invite you to share our idea of a classic maritime voyage.
We want to bring back everlasting memories of wonderful ships with a homely onboard atmosphere, travelling along some of the most beautiful coastlines of the world. Vessels with dedicated and enthusiastic crews, ready to show the sea and the coast as they really are.
Our mission
On our great voyages, you will be able to discover and explore unique and charming places along the most attractive coastlines of Northern Europe. We will take you to places which haven’t yet been spoiled by the influence of the “mainstream” tourism industry.
Our ships’ size lets us call at ports where the big ships can’t call, and share the experience of shore excursions with only a handful of fellow passengers who already have become friends. With Vestland Classic you will have access to exciting destinations that are away from the race tracks of mass tourism.
And we will co-operate with local organizations and individuals to give our guests exciting, exclusive impressions of the visited areas.
We want to make classic maritime travel a meaningful way to experience the world’s great coastlines.

People who know the coast
Our crew and shore team come from the coasts we sail. That knowledge is the difference between visiting a port and understanding one.
Between them they have sailed the Norwegian coast, the Shetlands, the Baltic and Svalbard — and they answer the telephone themselves.
Sailing lightly on a fragile coast
Small ships mean small groups ashore, which is better for the harbours we visit and for the people who live there.
We sail slowly, land in working harbours rather than purpose-built terminals, and keep guest numbers to what a place can comfortably absorb.
Life on board
Life aboard follows the coast rather than a programme: coffee on deck as the ship comes alongside, small groups ashore, and evenings in the lounge with long northern light in the windows.
Cuisine
Cooking follows what the coast lands and what is in season, served at shared tables — simple, generous and unhurried.
