Your adventure begins in the picturesque port town of Warnemünde, the harbor of the Hanseatic city of Rostock. MS Nordstjernen awaits you in the idyllic harbor, surrounded by landmarks such as the historic lighthouse and the Teepott building with its distinctive curved architecture. As you board the historic mail ship in the afternoon, you will immediately sense the unique atmosphere of a bygone era. In the morning, MS Nordstjernen passes through the famous Öresund between Denmark and Sweden. Along the way, enjoy views of Helsingør with its impressive Kronborg Castle, immortalized as Shakespeare's Elsinore. Later, we arrive in Hundested, a charming fishing and ferry town at the entrance to the Isefjord. The lively harbor, local artisans, and beautiful coastal scenery make this Danish town a delightful first port of call.

Today we enter the Limfjord at Hals and sail through one of Denmark's most attractive inland waterways. Surrounded by gentle landscapes, villages, and historic bridges, the passage itself is a highlight of the voyage. In the afternoon, MS Nordstjernen reaches Aalborg, Northern Jutland's vibrant capital. The city combines centuries of maritime history with modern Scandinavian culture, inviting visitors to explore its waterfront, historic streets, and welcoming cafés.

After continuing through the scenic Limfjord and leaving it again at Hals, MS Nordstjernen crosses the Kattegat towards Sweden. In the morning, we arrive in Göteborg, Sweden's principal west coast city and one of Scandinavia's most important ports. Elegant boulevards, canals, parks, and a strong maritime heritage give Göteborg its distinctive character. Stroll through the historic Haga district with its charming wooden houses, visit the bustling fish market, or explore the city's maritime attractions. With its relaxed atmosphere and strong connection to the sea, Göteborg perfectly reflects the spirit of Sweden's west coast.

Leaving Sweden behind, MS Nordstjernen heads south and passes through the narrow Little Belt, one of Denmark's most scenic waterways. We then arrive in Sønderborg, beautifully situated at the entrance to Flensburg Fjord. Dominated by Sønderborg Castle, the town combines Danish and German influences and offers a picturesque waterfront, historic streets, and fascinating regional history.
