As you board the historic mail ship in the afternoon, you will immediately sense the unique atmosphere of a bygone era. Enjoy the departure along the River Warnow and get ready for the exciting days ahead.

After a panoramic cruise through the spring green Strelasund, the MS Nordstjernen docks in Stralsund. The Hanseatic city shines with magnificent Brick Gothic architecture. The historic Town Hall, St. Nicholas’ Church, and St. Mary’s Church, along with the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, bear witness to the wealth of past centuries. A modern highlight is the striking Ozeaneum by the harbor.

Today, MS Nordstjernen visits the Danish island of Bornholm. Gudhjem clings to the eastern cliffs of Bornholm, offering dramatic views and timeless traditions. Small galleries, craft shops, and the charming harbor make it an idyllic stop. Bornholm has had a turbulent history due to its central location in the Baltic Sea, with numerous conflicts over dominance and trade rights. Please note: We use tender boats to reach Gudhjem.

Stroll along the famous Long Market, admire the iconic Crane Gate, and experience St. Mary’s Church.
